Commissions are wonderful in that they are so personal, capturing a favourite beach, an emotion, memory or celebration on canvas.
The starting place when planning a commission usually begins with the size of the painting required.
Each commission will be totally unique to you, I work with ideas, narratives and personal touches to arrive at the special place which meets your requirements. Initially, after working out the composition a pencil sketch will be supplied which can easily be adapted, allowing the opportunity to tweak or change anything you're not happy with. Figures can be added to represent your family and of course four legged friends, in order to give your commission that extra personal touch. All pieces are presented in a hand painted frame with an inner slip.
I endeavour to make choosing the composition an easy process and whenever necessary will help with any decisions, making it an easy and rewarding experience. Please feel free to contact me without obligation to discuss any ideas or questions you may have.

“I’d always admired Caroline’s paintings and loved the way she captured the very essence of the north Norfolk coastline with the wide skies and beautiful beaches.
With my wedding anniversary coming up I commissioned Caroline to paint a picture of my wife’s favourite beach to include figures of our two children and dog. The resulting oil painting is superb. It’s an absolutely beautiful depiction of the beach. It feels like you could jump into the painting and join our children and dog who are painted on the shoreline. My wife was obviously delighted and I know it’ll become a treasuredfamilypainting.”

Dear Caroline
I wanted to write to you to tell you how much I love the painting, which is really two different ones. During the day it reminds me of a stormy day at Holkham when the clouds roll in and then in the evening when I have switched on the lamp beneath it, the sun seems to have come out lighting up the beach and it brings back memories of many beautiful autumn days we have enjoyed there. We will call into your gallery and, hopefully, be able to meet you and thank you in person for such a beautiful painting.
